A kick, a splash, and a foodgasm!

So the day started off with a kick….Sammi’s first day of KARATE.

She was so thrilled the entire time we got there and then cried in fear stating “I want to do karate.”  And then she wouldn’t get out of Adam’s arms for quite some time.  But after a few minutes she was good.  Laurie brought her kids for support (they have classes at the same place) and in no time she was just fine, albeit somewhat timid.  We are going to try next weekend to see if she for sure will be okay with it.  Oh I HOPE so.  Karate is killer!  I just think that things like that help teach discipline and are great exercise.  She just loves tumbling!  I was so glad I switched her from dance to that (she wasn’t liking dance after a while).  I decided to wait a year before soccer lol.  Oh mercy I’m totally one of those parents trying to push their kids into EVERYTHING.  I guess the way I figure it is that if we have the means (for this I feel very blessed), why not give her those experiences and she what she loves.  It certainly can’t hurt anything!  And besides, I just can’t help spoiling my little princess!

After karate, we had planned on going to Seven Peaks with Laurie and Hay-Max (Hailey & Max-oh Sammi I love your way of putting things).  In between, we went to Wal-Mart, and I was so very convinced to PUSH PUSH PUSH myself.  And can I just tell you after all of today’s activities I feel SO STIFF and SORE!  But I just have to push myself.  I have to do this.  I know its so good for me (even though my body really seemed to be yelling ‘Stop moving you bitch’ all day).  To be honest, I was worn out after Wal-Mart lol.

We also went to Astro Burger.  I’m happy to say that I had a chef salad instead of a greasy and delicious burger and fries.  And damn it was good I have to say.  I actually do love me a nice chef salad!  Still had a Diet Coke (hey, I can’t give up EVERYTHING all at once!)

Seven Peaks was a blast and also was a fair amount of walking for me.  Sammi had a blast with her cousins.  It was just so much fun spending time as a family and such good exercise that it made me so very happy!

And then it was cheat meal.  Oh how I look forward to that weekly pleasure (ok so before now it was kind of like every other day – but back on the straight and narrow now).  We went to Cracker Barrel and I had their pecan pancakes.  Oh my I could write a sonnet about pancakes with butter and maple syrup (be back in a minute, remember earlier food-gasm ha ha ha)

Oh but damnit I’m gonna be so sore tomorrow.  Life is pain highness!  (Name that movie bitches!)
