Here
is the picture in question:

IS THIS WRONG?
My
initial reaction was holy shit girl, eat a sandwich and get to the doctor
because you are definitely ANOREXIC……….but is she? It definitely looks like that to me, but can
I really judge that by a photo? For me personally, I find this extremely
repulsive to be perfectly blunt, but HELLO, what do people say when they see ME for crying out loud!!! Aren’t I just the extreme opposite end of this? Wouldn’t I be the biggest (hee hee emphasis
on big) hypocrite in all the land to say this is wrong? How can I dare point the finger at her and say
it’s wrong and she clearly needs help. I
really don’t know what to think. If she
is in fact anorexic, again I hope she gets help, but if she is not anorexic
more power to her. If that is your idea
of beauty and it’s not to the extreme of anorexia okay. Don’t we have the right to do what we want? But what if she is anorexic – then isn’t it as
foolish as that lady who was on Dr. Oz whose goal is to get to 1000 pounds.
So
I honestly am perplexed. It doesn’t look
right or healthy to me, but probably only a doctor can make that determination
if she is anorexic and if she is, I hope she can overcome it and get help. But again that is rather funny coming from
me. It’s like me condemning an alcoholic
or any kind of addict when I have an addiction problem myself. I’m sure people think the same thing of me,
but instead of throwing sandwiches at me they want to take away my fork and yell
‘Stop eating cupcakes fattie’.
I
don’t want to condone anything unhealthy, but how should a woman look? But isn’t that different for everyone? How could that be measured exactly? Not all women have the same body type. We all carry weight differently and have
different frame sizes.
You
have seen my previous posts with pics from plus size models who I find beautiful. I think thin women are beautiful and honestly
I think there is something beautiful about everyone at every size. No matter what your what or size, as long as
it’s ‘healthy’, then it is fine.
Society
is a very interesting thing. Surely
models and Hollywood leans towards the extreme of being slender, but it all
seems the so called ‘fat acceptance’ has gained some footing at the same time.
So
what is the right size? I don’t think
there is an answer to that. I think it
can’t be defined clearly for everyone. I
think eating disorders (when they truly exist) are not healthy (obviously) but
I wish that women at every size would be more accepted and accepting of
themselves.
I
wish us all happiness and health!
What
do you think about all of this? Leave
your comments as I’m curious what others think truly!
